Had a walk through the bluebell woods at the weekend.
I just adore bluebells and as it was a rather warm day their scent was wonderful.

The sad truth is we have voles!
I understand that there really are FAR more important and really sad things going on, however, when you are trying to grow food and find it is being eaten away under the earth, and the poor plants no longer have roots it is sad. Oh and very annoying.
On a positive, the apple trees have a profusion of blossom, let's hope for a bountiful harvest this autumn.
Cut these branches and brought them inside and they have started flowering.
These have been flowering for so long they are near the end of their time, hopefully they will have succeeded in pollinating the female and there will be hazel nuts later in the year.
How is this for a bit of sunset drama?
The sky was almost completely covered in clouds, aside from a small crack that let the drama of the sunset shine through.
These cygnets are preening as they slowly lose their brown feathers to reveal the splendid white feathers when spring comes round.
Neighbours beautiful white hellebore.
